FINISHED in 2021! (Updated: 3/20/21)

A lot of gamers keep lists of all the games they’ve finished throughout each year. That’s something I’ve always kinda-sorta intended to do, but I’ve tried to keep them all in my head, and at my advanced age (I’m all of forty-damn-six, you little punks), that’s nearly impossible for my withered old brain.

So since the beginning of the year, I figured I can keep track of them right here in a blog post, which I’ll continually update! The latest games will be added to the top. (I’m not including re-playing old games I’ve already finished, like, say, Super Metroid or Mega Man.) So here goes–!

Too Much of a Good Thing

Classic cute-’em-up Cotton is getting a reboot! Titled, appropriately enough, Cotton Reboot, and including the original X68000 version (which is pretty identical to the arcade version, from what I can tell) as well as an HD remake, the game is being issued by BEEP for PS4 and Switch in a variety of configurations. I’m excited!

By “a variety of configurations,” I mean a standard game-only edition, a box set including all sorts of bonus items, and a dee-luxe edition with all the box set stuff plus a cool throwback X68000-style case.

The X68000 version is the one I would love to have, but ultimately, I opted to buy just the game by itself. Why tho?

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection: Retro Done Right

I’ve actually had a bit of trouble starting this article. Which is odd, because I love this piece of software I’m about to rave about, and have plenty to say about it. In fact, that’s probably the reason right there: the wealth of content that the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection offers actually borders on overwhelming. So where to start?
